Nylon leader 9ft 0X to 7X with loop
The leader you can attach in 10 seconds and that won't let you down.
The Axon Leader in 9-foot tapered nylon is the essential consumable for fly fishing. Tapered from butt to tip, it transfers casting energy and turns over the fly cleanly with every cast. The welded loop at the fly line end eliminates the need for a knot — a 10-second connection, even with cold hands by the river. From 0X for large flies and predators to 7X for small dry flies for wary trout.
Key Feature
Tapered, with a loop, ready to fish.

Usage Tips
Nylon or fluorocarbon — how to choose:
-
Dry fly: Choose nylon — it floats naturally and doesn't pull the fly down like fluorocarbon.
-
Nymph and streamer: Fluorocarbon is preferable — it sinks naturally and is less visible in water. But nylon also works well with a little sinkant.
-
Beginner: Start with nylon — more supple, easier to knot, more forgiving.
-
Lifespan: Replace your leader as soon as you notice wind knots, abrasion marks, or after 2-3 intensive outings.
Adding tippet:
-
When your leader tip shortens from changing flies, add 60 cm of Axon tippet of the same diameter with a double surgeon's knot. This extends the leader's life without sacrificing presentation.
Axon line compatibility:
-
This leader connects directly to the welded loop of all Axon Real Series fly lines — Perception, Windcutter, Outbound Short, Velocity SW, and Impulse.
