How to choose between a #4, #5 or #6 rod?

The rod number corresponds to the weight of fly line it is designed to cast. A #4 is ideal for small streams and light flies. A #5 is the most versatile—it’s the best-selling size in the world for good reason. A #6 is suitable for larger rivers and bigger fish. If you're a beginner, start with a #5. How to choose the right reel size?

What happens if I'm not satisfied?

You have 30 days after receipt to request a return of an unused product in its original packaging (prior authorization required; return shipping paid by the customer). A product that is defective or damaged on arrival is replaced or refunded at our expense, after verification. One-Year Limited Warranty — Rods and Reels

Axon Fly Fishing offers a one (1) year limited warranty against manufacturing defects on fly rods and reels sold on axonflyfishing.com, starting from the date the order is received. This page repeats the "Limited Warranty" section of our return, refund and warranty policy.

What is covered

Defects in materials or workmanship.
Failure of the reel mechanism (drag, spindle, machining).
Delamination or fracture of a rod section attributable to manufacturing — for example a clean, straight break with no sign of impact.

What is not covered

Breakage caused by misuse, accident or negligence.
Rod breakage caused by an impact, a fly strike or improper handling — including high-sticking, impact from a weighted fly or poorly seated sections.
Damage caused by improper transport or storage.
Modifications made to the product.
Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage (scratches, dents) and corrosion from neglected maintenance.
Products purchased from an unauthorized reseller.

This warranty does not apply to fly lines, leaders, tippet, backing and accessories.

How to make a claim

clear photos of the defect (3 close-up photos of the break or the part);
a short description of what happened.

Each request is assessed case by case from the photos. Axon Fly Fishing reserves the right to repair, replace or refund the product at its discretion. Processing time: 5 to 10 business days.

Your legal rights

Axon Fly Fishing is not liable for indirect damages, loss of use or commercial losses. Maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.
This warranty is in addition to the legal warranties of conformity and against latent defects provided by Quebec's Consumer Protection Act. Your legal rights apply at all times.
